The repair of the NorNed-cable between Norway and The Netherlands was completed Friday, December 14th, according to a report from TenneT, the Netherlands’ Transmission System Operator.

The repair of the NorNed-cable between Norway and The Netherlands was completed Friday, December 14th, according to a report from TenneT, the Netherlands’ Transmission System Operator. Unfortunately, a second cable fault occurred during the successive testing the following Saturday. The fault was experienced after some hours of power flow. Preparations for corrective action were taken immediately and analyses are now being made. Transmission tests will be continued after the fault is repaired. The repair is expected to take several weeks and is weather dependent.
