S&C's Circuit-Isolator II Disconnect provides three-pole, group-operated, visible-air-gap isolation in distribution substations. Its design is based on the time-proven-reliable disconnect developed for Mark V, Mark VI and Series 2000 circuit switchers.

Although Circuit-Isolator II does not carry an interrupting rating, it can be used to interrupt low-level charging currents associated with substation buswork and circuit-breaker bushings, as well as other low-voltage currents commonly present in substations. In addition, Circuit-Isolator II Disconnect can be used to pick up magnetizing currents associated with substation transformers. It's suited for use with S&C Trans-Rupter II Transformer Protector and S&C Type SMD Power Fuses.

Circuit-Isolator II is available in ratings from 69 kV through 138 kV, in 1200-A, 1600-A and 2000-A versions. Side-break, vertical-break, center-break and double-break styles can be furnished to suit almost any substation layout.
