AREVA Awarded Substation Package Contract for Terminal 3 at the New Delhi International Airport

AREVA’s Transmission and Distribution Division (T&D) India Ltd. has been awarded a contract worth approximately 40 million euros with Larsen & Toubro Ltd. – ECC Division, for the supply of a substation package for Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi.

AREVA’s Transmission and Distribution Division (T&D) India Ltd. has been awarded a contract worth approximately 40 million euros with Larsen & Toubro Ltd. – ECC Division, for the supply of a substation package for Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi. This contract is one of the biggest recently to be awarded in the Indian Power Distribution industry. Larsen & Toubro Ltd. Is the main contractor Delhi International Airport Pvt. Ltd.

AREVA will design and manufacture a 66-kV substation which will supply the new Terminal-3, currently in construction to serve the Commonwealth Games planned in Delhi for 2010. This project is of the utmost importance for the city.
