Significant progress has been made in restoration efforts by Florida Power & Light Company and assisting crews. In total, 1,290,900 million customers – 40 percent of the approximately 3.2 million customers left without power from Hurricane Wilma – now have their electric service restored.

Yesterday as announced, restoration of service was made to essentially all customers in Manatee, Sarasota, Charlotte and DeSoto counties on the west coast and Brevard County on the east coast. Nearly 9,400 workers have been mobilized to restore power, with another 2,600 arriving continuously through Monday.
