Celerity Energy (Vancouver, Washington) and Reliable Power Co. (Portland, Oregon) have been collaborating on a demonstration project for the Bonneville Power Administration (BPA) to network several small generating sites and controllable loads among BPA's customers.

On July 29, 2002, Reliable Power became a wholly owned subsidiary of Celerity Energy. Through the addition of Reliable Power's generation and power-quality equipment, Celerity can offer customers a total networking solution.

Celerity manages distributed energy resources, including standby generators and controllable loads found in many commercial buildings and industrial facilities. By networking and remotely controlling these underused assets as part of a Networked Distributed Resource facility, Celerity offers utilities access to additional energy resources. Owners' benefit through ongoing maintenance efforts, which ensure reliable operation in emergency situations.
