Excergy to Provide Program Management, Technical Consulting for Fort Collins Project

Excergy Corp. was selected by the City of Fort Collins Utilities to provide program management and technical consulting to complete its Advanced Meter Fort Collins project and prepare the city for the next generation of smart grid technologies. Over the course of 2012-2013, the utility was to finish deploying flexible and robust advanced metering as well as start customer engagement with web portal and demand-response technologies to serve as a foundation to enable benefits and a platform for future initiatives.

“The city as a whole is passionate about creating a vibrant, world-class community and this project is a vital part of that vision,” said Steve Catanach, Light and Power manager at City of Fort Collins. “Excergy has the personnel, skills, vision and client perspective to guide us in that planning and execution.”

Denver-based Excergy is a provider of consulting and systems integration services to the utility sector. It is composed of consultants, project managers, engineers and IT professionals who have planned and implemented utility solutions across North America.
