The Smart Grid Super Session explores the impact of information technology on transforming the electric power system. The session will examine the following areas: the smart grid’s self-healing capability, the grid’s security from physical and cyber threats, the grid’s support of distributed generation and lastly, how the grid will enable customers to better control the equipment in their homes and businesses.

Douglas Houseman, principal at Capgemini, will chair the panel. Other panelists include:

  • Erich Gunther, CTO, Enernex
  • Tommy Childress, CTO, Cellnet
  • Reza Ghafurian, technial leader, Central Engineering, Consolidated Edison

The session will take place Wednesday, April 23 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.
