Transmission and Substation Conference Calls for Papers

The Electrical Transmission and Substation Structures Conference focuses specifically on transmission and substation structure issues to help utility engineers meet the daily challenges of today's high-stakes energy enviroment.

The Electrical Transmission and Substation Structures Conference, which focuses specifically on transmission and substation structure issues, has issued a call for papers with a deadline of Sept. 15, 2011.

The Conference, sponsored and hosted by the American Society of Civil Engineers, will provide a forum for transmission and substation engineers to exchange ideas, concepts, and philosophies, while providing new engineers with the opportunity to learn more about the art and science specific to transmission lines and structures, substation structures, and foundation engineering. The Conference Steering Committee is currently accepting abstracts of papers to be presented in technical sessions, with case studies strongly encouraged. A poster session format may also be provided.

Abstracts are due Sept. 15, 2011 and must include the title of the paper, a 200-word maximum description of the content of the paper, relevant graphs and photos, the author's name, mailing address, phone number, and e-mail address. Notification of acceptance of the abstract will be sent by e-mail on Nov. 16, 2011. Draft and Final papers must be a minimum of six pages and a recommended maximum of 12 pages in length including figures, graphs, charts and photographs. All speakers are required to register and submit a PowerPoint presentation prior to the Conference.
