Sargent & Lundy Conducts Transmission Line, Substation Engineering Courses

Since 1994, Sargent & Lundy's senior engineers have been conducting transmission line and substation engineering courses for engineers and designers from domestic and international utilities.

Since 1994, Sargent & Lundy's senior engineers have been conducting transmission line and substation engineering courses for engineers and designers from domestic and international utilities. Attendees obtain one continuing education unit (CEU) for every 10 hours of classroom instruction and a certificate of completion.

The four-day courses provide practical, project-oriented training for both entry-level engineers and the experienced engineer new to the design, specification, and installation of transmission and substation facilities.

Companies that have hosted the Sargent & Lundy Transmission Line and Substation Engineering Courses include the following transmission system owners:

  • Tennessee Valley Authority
  • Dynegy/Illinois Power
  • National Grid
  • San Diego Gas & Electric
  • Nevada Power
  • Entergy
The next substation engineering course will be Oct. 29-Nov. 1, 2007, in Chicago. This course provides four days of training in substation design. Training is conducted by engineers engaged in utility substation design and engineering. Transmission Line Engineering Course The next transmission line engineering course will be Nov. 12-15, 2007, in Chicago. Training is conducted by engineers engaged in utility transmission line design and engineering.
