Celebrating Line Families at the 2021 International Lineman's Rodeo

Oct. 23, 2021
This photo gallery goes out to the line families who stand on the sidelines to cheer on their loved ones during the competition.

In the line trade, the families stand behind their linemen as they work long nights and in severe weather to get the lights back on. While line kids often don't get to see what their mom and dad do as linemen on a daily basis, the International Lineman's Rodeo gives them the opportunity to see them on the job.

During the Lineman's Rodeo Week, linemen brought their families to the Lineman's Expo, BBQ and Trade Night. Then the next morning, they all headed to the Rodeo grounds.

For the last few years, the International Lineman's Rodeo Association has dedicated a "Kid's Zone," where children can have fun on the Rodeo grounds. This year, the children were able to enjoy bouncy houses and cotton candy.

Then when their loved ones are competing, they can cheer them on at the sidelines. Here are a few photos we captured on the Rodeo grounds. Email Field Editor Amy Fischbach if you have any family photos from the Rodeo Week.
