John has 19 years of experience in the electrical construction trade with contractors and public utilities. His first seven years in the trade were with four different electrical contractors in three different states. During this period he gained experience in many different aspects of transmission and distribution construction, from the construction and maintenance of transmission lines to the installation of the customer’s meter. Since 2003 John has worked for three different public utilities in three states. Throughout his years in the trade, John has held positions as Journeyman Lineman (9 years), foreman (3 years), troubleman (6 years), and currently is the manager of two service centers in northern Colorado.
John completed his Journeyman Lineman certification through the Mountain States Line Construction Apprenticeship and Training program with the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. He earned his B.S. in Business Management through Colorado State University – Global.
Prior to his work in the electrical industry John served 12 years with the United States Army, making the rank of Staff Sergeant. During his time in the military he held positions as an infantry soldier, recruiter, weapons instructor, and operations NCO.
