January 12, 2011, Willow Grove, PA –- The board of the Asplundh Tree Expert Co., the nation's largest utility vegetation management company, has elected Scott M. Asplundh to the position of chief executive officer and George E. Graham, Jr. to the rank of president. With a combination of more than 60 years of experience in field operations and in Asplundh's corporate management, they represent the highest level of leadership within the third-generation family members who manage various parts of this international corporation.

“The experience these men bring is unequalled in the industry,” says former CEO Christopher B. Asplundh who will remain as the chairman of the board while this family-owned corporation moves through the succession process. Founded in 1928 and headquartered in the Philadelphia area, the Asplundh Tree Expert Co. primarily serves the electric utility industry. The corporation and its subsidiaries employ over 28,000 men and women throughout the U.S., Canada, Australia and New Zealand.

Day-to-day operations of UtiliCon will be managed by Senior Vice President Greg Holman, a 22-year veteran of the utility industry.
